Portfolio for our work...

Today Maam Foziah informing us that we are going to compile a portfolio of the little bits things that we have done all these while as part of the assessment for this course. Well, that gets me frowning a bit as i starts pondering where are all my small bits of evidences of work and the tutorials and stuff. And she mentioned about the blog assignment---one thing that till now, this is only my second post, and it's already week 7...... Eliana eliana......

It's time to buck up.

Ya, mentioning about portfolio just now.. I think it is very good to set it as one of the assignments for part of the final evaluation of our performance for this course. As i see it as not just a absolute thing to access our performance but it also allow us to me more aware of our progress on the things that we have learnt from this course. Alongside with other assignments which require us to come out with a product in a given time, this form of assessment allows us to collect and compile the evidences of our work from the very basic and beginning to the final course of this course. It is in a way more natural, and not so pressuring for us students to attempt on this assignment.

Good that Maam has told and kept reinforcing us on this, so that we can do a good job from now itself. :)

Though it's already week 7, but things still can be done better!

Great Exposure

Trully, the things we learn in resources class are getting more and more appealing to me. Photo editing, video editing, audio editing...... These are new things that i'm being exposed to.. things that i never come across before. And learning these new softwares make me feel up to date to the new technologies, I'm glad that through this course i get to learn about these technologies or else i wouldn't have chance to have a touch on them.

So far my mastery on these technologies are still very surfacial. But now at least i know there are these softwares that i can further explore and exploit it for various purposes but most importantly they are going to be tools to replace the traditional mode of teaching in the classroom.

Well, looking at some of the practical teaching carried out by our seniors, i wonder why they didn't incorporate elements of technology such as what we are learning right now into their teaching and learning process. Well, i think greater mastery and confidence in technology skills are needed in order for teachers to implement technology into the classrooms as a common practice as it is in colleges and universities.

Well, my scenario now is, it's a great things for me to be exposed to these kind of technological way to develop resources for classroom. But i surely need to do a lot more hard work so that i can really do exploitation and familiarize myself with all these tools...
